Take a Trip Out of Your Comfort Zone with Friends

This week's travels involved a plan that included visiting a town I never thought would exist and enjoying a bike ride with friends. For a few weeks two of my classmates and I had planned (after finals that's why I went M.I.A. for a month) to stay in a town called Ojia, California which is about 30 miles away from Santa Barbara, and 7 miles from the nearest beach. Not many are probably aware that this town exists because it is hidden along a lane behind the hills. Surprisingly this town had so much excitement to offer. The minute you drive into the the town next to Ojia, Casitas Springs, you can spot Johnny Cash's dream house not too far up the hill. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to stop by to take pictures of the historical monument but at least we got to enjoy homemade pizza from Papa Lennon's and a one-hour bike ride into town. I would also like to add to mention what amazing air quality this area had. With a town that appreciated both nature and peace, how could anyone resist wanting to go back.

Halloween Outfit No Costume???

Usually I go full out on Halloween but this Halloween I was super busy so I said to myself, "Why not take advantage of this day to wear something that you can't wear on a regular day in public!" So what I did was put together pieces of fabric that I cut out to my size and the design I had in my head for weeks came out perfect! All I really asked for myself was to have diamonds on my design and I did! This year I was simple and satisfied plus I still got candy ;) I hope that everyone enjoyed their Halloween this year!

Ootd on Santa Monica Beach

Some days of the week can be very stressful mainly because of school, work, or etc. On almost nearly every weekend, I like to explore near places that are very far away from home. My destination last weekend was to the Santa Monica Pier where they have amazing stores to shop at hence, the very first Brandy Melville store that I absolutely adore is there, and a ton of amazing restaurants to choose from! So on my trip over there, I planned to wear a simple skirt, bralette, and a white halter tank.

Halter tank from Forever 21 for $10, Bralette from Urban Outfitters for $10, and Skirt for $10 at Urban Outfitters

Finally made it to the Santa Monica Beach!!!!

A Trip to L.A.'s Olvera's Street Over the Weekend

Nothing beats going to L.A. first thing in the morning on a calm and relaxing weekend day. Last weekend I took a trip down to the one place I remember spending some of my childhood adventures right at the beginning of Los Angeles, a center of Mexican-American culture, Olvera Street. A place that was so far away and a privilege to go to is now an easy access from where I live thanks to the Metro Gold Line. If any of you guys haven't visited this place before, I would highly recommend making this one of your destinations when you head over to L.A. You'll experience the Mexican culture around you and get to learn the history of how it all began. Go take a look on the weekend in the morning to late afternoon where you can go in less traffic and get to look at some of the events and vendors they have going/participating there.

Here's a refreshing Coca-cola that I was craving all day!

I would recommend stopping by at Juanita's Mexican food Cafe for some homemade delicious taquitos and guacamole sauce located right at the heart of Olvera street.
